Privacy Policy

Your privacy is at the heart of Levia. The app is "local-first": your entries, moods, and memories are stored only on your device by default.
Data controller

No ads, no tracking
Levia contains no advertising, no analytics tools, and no third-party trackers. We don't build a user profile and we don't sell or "share" personal data. Our website uses cookie-less, anonymous visit statistics (Vercel Web Analytics) with no cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no personal identification.
What stays on your device
Journal entries, mood logs, photos, goals, and Levia's memories live locally in the app. With iCloud enabled, they're additionally synced to your private, Apple-encrypted iCloud database, which we cannot access.
AI features
On supported iPhones the AI runs locally (Apple Foundation Models) — nothing leaves your device. If you use the cloud AI (Premium), only the text you share is sent to our server proxy (Cloudflare) and forwarded to our AI provider OpenCode Go to generate a response in real time. The provider is bound to equivalent protection: a zero-retention policy and no use of the data for model training. International transfer: processing takes place on servers in the US, the EU, or Singapore. Cloud AI is optional, OFF by default, and active only after your explicit in-app consent (can be turned off anytime in Settings).
Feature requests
If you submit a request on the feature board, its title and text are visible to other users. Don't enter personal or sensitive data there. You can report posts via the report action; we remove unlawful or abusive content.
Bug reports
When you report a bug, your title/description plus basic technical details (app version, iOS version, device model, language) are sent only to us, the developers. They are not visible to other users and contain no journal content.
Apple Health
Moods are written to / read from Apple Health only with your explicit permission. Health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple; we never receive payment data.
Launch waitlist
If you add your email address to the waitlist on our website, we store it (with timestamp and language preference) on our server proxy (Cloudflare, globally distributed storage) solely to notify you once by email when Levia launches (legal basis: your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). There is no newsletter and no sharing with third parties. After the launch email is sent, we delete the list. You can have your address removed at any time before that — just email leviajournal@gmail.com.
Legal basis & retention
For cloud AI, the legal basis is performance of a contract and/or your consent (Art. 6(1)(b)/(a) GDPR); special-category data (e.g. health/emotion) is processed only when you actively trigger it. Cloud content is processed only for the duration of the response; local data remains until you delete it.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority. In the app you can delete entries, edit/delete Levia's memories, and remove all local data by uninstalling.
Children
Levia is not directed at children under 16.
